“My mom’s step-dad had been around for most of her life, so I grew up with him as my grandfather. He was a painter and an artist. He was a composer, poet, and a writer in two different languages. He told me when I was about 10 years old that your job is not your life. You don’t wake up everyday so that you can go live your job, you go to your job so that you can do whatever you want with your life. Your job is supposed to provide for the type of life that you want to live. A lot of your day-to-day is going to be remarkably similar to your neighbors or anybody else that you encounter on the street, so really what it comes down to is this: are you happy?”
